Committed to our community, we reinvest 40% of our profits into local conservation efforts in an effort to care about our biodiversity and support those in need.
Meet the team
Jungle Dave
With decades of experience in birding, Jungle Dave is passionate about passing on his skills to the youth. He is a trainer for the bird watching course in Brunei and also internationally. He’s always enthusiastic about birding and learning more about nature despite being a self-trained naturalist.
Joan
The Operations Manager of Borneo Twitchers. She’s been interested in birding since she was 14 years old. Now that she has a birding license, she spends her free time in the field. Her favourite bird family are the Corvidae. Another bird that is really close to her heart would be the Bornean Bristlehead – the only one in the Bristlehead family and endemic in Borneo.
Tony
A man with many different names: Tony, Chen, Joshua or Vice. His actual name is Low Wei Chen. Graduated with an HNTec degree in Electronic Engineering in 2024, he decided to venture into the tourism field, following in the footsteps of his father. Tony is skilled in repairing machines and enjoys camping.
Rendy
Despite Rendy’s education level being high school only, he has a strong drive to improve himself. Started working as a chef but he has more passion for nature.
So, he joined Borneo Twitchers in October 2024 and is now holding a valid Bird Watching Specialised Tourist Guide badge!
Eman
The latest addition to the team, Eman, loves to be in the jungle. During the School Educational Camps, he would be attentive to the students and show how to do the tasks being assigned with great care.
